Guided by our commitment to partnership, precision, and performance, we deliver the scalable solutions and technical excellence our customers depend on—today and into the future.

Precise Systems is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Console Display Unit (CDU) Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, evaluation, documentation, and sustainment of Console Display Unit systems supporting Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare programs. The CDU Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering support for operator display units, control interfaces, hardware/software integration, system interfaces, test events, configuration changes, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic systems, operator consoles, display systems, embedded hardware/software, tactical systems, or command-and-control interfaces in a DoD engineering environment. This position requires the ability to work across engineering, software, hardware, test, logistics, cybersecurity, configuration management, and program teams to ensure CDU systems are technically sound, properly documented, testable, supportable, and aligned with mission requirements.

This role requires in-person support.

Duties:

  • Provide systems engineering support for Console Display Unit systems, subsystems, hardware, software, interfaces, and related equipment.
  • Support requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, system design, system testing, and verification activities for CDU capabilities.
  • Analyze CDU operational requirements, user needs, interface requirements, system constraints, and technical performance requirements.
  • Support CDU integration with EW systems, tactical platforms, mission equipment, control systems, sensors, data processors, RF systems, and supporting software.
  • Evaluate CDU hardware/software performance, operator interface functionality, display performance, system responsiveness, and integration behavior.
  • Support system design reviews, engineering reviews, technical interchange meetings, Integrated Product Teams, and configuration control activities.
  • Develop, review, and update technical documentation, including system descriptions, interface documentation, test procedures, technical reports, installation procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • Support development and review of Interface Control Documents, wiring/interface data, data flow descriptions, signal interfaces, human-machine interface requirements, and system architecture documentation.
  • Identify and document CDU interface issues involving hardware, software, firmware, cabling, power, communications, display functionality, or operator control inputs.
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for CDU deficiencies discovered during lab testing, field testing, system integration, or fleet support activities.
  • Work with software engineers, hardware engineers, technicians, OEMs, and Government personnel to resolve design, integration, and sustainment issues.
  • Support test planning, test execution, data review, and test reporting for CDU system performance, reliability, maintainability, usability, and integration readiness.
  • Support verification and validation activities to ensure CDU requirements are properly tested and documented.
  • Assess Engineering Change Proposals, deviations, waivers, and technical changes for impact to CDU performance, interfaces, documentation, maintainability, safety, and system compatibility.
  • Support configuration management activities related to CDU hardware, software, firmware, technical data, system baselines, and change documentation.
  • Support software updates, firmware changes, cybersecurity patching, system troubleshooting, and regression testing as required.
  • Review system deficiencies, failure reports, test results, and user feedback to recommend corrective actions or design improvements.
  • Support human engineering and usability considerations for operator displays, controls, alerts, menus, symbology, layouts, and workflows.
  • Assist with technical data package development and maintenance for CDU systems and associated components.
  • Support installation, checkout, fleet introduction, sustainment, and life-cycle support activities as required.
  • Prepare technical recommendations, engineering judgment inputs, briefings, status updates, and reports for Government review.
  • Ensure work products are developed, marked, handled, and stored in accordance with applicable security, CUI, OPSEC, and configuration control requirements.
