Digital Prepress Technician


Role:

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Digital Prepress Technician to join our Graphics Team. In this role, you will use industry-leading graphics and prepress software to prepare customer-supplied artwork for high-quality printing across labels, folding cartons, and flexible packaging. This is a technical prepress position focused on artwork implementation, file preparation, proofing, and print compliance.


The ideal candidate enjoys working with precision, solving technical file and artwork challenges, and collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure packaging artwork meets print and production requirements. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracy.


The Digital Prepress Technician plays a critical role in delivering the outstanding customer experience that drives Sttark's success. As part of our Graphics Team, you will ensure customer artwork is accurately prepared, approved, and released for printing while supporting efficient, scalable, and standardized graphics workflows.

Strategic Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Review and apply order requirements, customer specifications, and production standards to packaging artwork files.
  • Prepare accurate, print-ready artwork using Adobe Creative Suite and related prepress software.
  • Create and modify packaging artwork for labels, folding cartons, and flexible packaging using customer-provided artwork, branding, and product information.
  • Generate and distribute proofs, coordinate artwork revisions and approvals, and communicate artwork requirements with customers and internal teams.
  • Identify and resolve artwork, file, and prepress issues independently and in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Release approved artwork files for production in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of artwork revisions, approvals, customer communications, and order changes.
  • Follow graphics standard operating procedures (SOPs) and utilize templates, AI tools, and standardized workflows to deliver high-quality work efficiently and accurately.
  • Support Sttark's vision, principles, and customer-first culture through responsive and professional graphics support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems while exercising sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications or a related field
  • Experience in prepress, packaging graphics, labels, printing, or related industries.
  • Experience preparing print-ready artwork files.
  • Knowledge of packaging artwork, proofing, and print production processes.
