Position Summary

Under the direction of the Sales Supervisor, the Chain Stocker is responsible for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and maintaining Pacific Beverage Company products in assigned retail accounts. This position works closely with the sales team to build and replenish displays, stock warm shelves and cold boxes, move product from back rooms to sales floors, and maintain strong customer relationships through reliable and professional service.

This is a physically active, field-based position that requires use of a personal vehicle to travel between assigned store locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible business miles in accordance with company policy.

  • Wage Progression: This position follows a guaranteed wage progression schedule. The hourly rate automatically increases to $22.00 upon completion of 1 year of employment.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible business miles in accordance with company policy.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Merchandise stores, coolers, shelves, and displays with Pacific Beverage Company products in assigned accounts.
  • Stock warm shelves, cold boxes, coolers, and displays using product from the back room, current delivery, or other assigned storage areas.
  • Rotate product according to code date requirements and company standards to support product freshness and quality.
  • Transport product from back rooms or delivery areas to shelf, cooler, or display locations using approved equipment such as hand trucks, U-boats, merchandising carts, or pallet jacks.
  • Build, maintain, and replenish product displays according to sales direction, account needs, and company merchandising standards.
  • Place and maintain signs, banners, point-of-sale materials, and other promotional materials in assigned accounts.
  • Keep assigned back room areas stocked, organized, and in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Communicate account conditions, product needs, display issues, and service concerns to the Sales Supervisor or appropriate sales team member.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional, reliable, and courteous service.
  • Follow assigned route schedules, service expectations, and account priorities.
  • Use company-required systems, applications, or documentation tools to track assigned work, route activity, mileage, and merchandising execution as required.
  • Safely lift, load, push, pull, move, and merchandise beverage products throughout the workday.
  • Follow all company safety policies, driving expectations, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements related to the handling, storage, merchandising, and distribution of beverage products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support sales, merchandising, and business operations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; or related merchandising, retail, beverage, warehouse, customer service, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work an early morning schedule, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by business needs.
  • Ability to travel between multiple retail account locations within an assigned route.
  • Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle for business use.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and a driving record that meets company-established guidelines.
  • Must maintain automobile insurance that meets company requirements for employees who drive a personal vehicle for company business.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, route schedules, account instructions, safety rules, merchandising standards, and company policies.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, store personnel, supervisors, sales team members, and other company representatives.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, follow assigned routes, and complete work accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to use hand trucks, U-boats, merchandising carts, pallet jacks, or other approved equipment as assigned.
  • Ability to use company-required systems, mobile applications, mileage tracking tools, or reporting systems as required.
  • Ability to follow product rotation standards, code date expectations, and merchandising instructions.
Driving & Vehicle Requirements
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle for company business between assigned retail account locations.
  • Employees must comply with all applicable company driving policies and state laws while driving on company business.
  • Employees must maintain current proof of automobile insurance that meets company requirements.
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible business miles in accordance with company policy.
  • Employees must report accidents, citations, changes in driving status, or insurance changes in accordance with company policy.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, lift, carry, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, load, push, pull, and move beverage cases repeatedly.
  • Ability to move product from back rooms, pallets, carts, or deliveries to shelves, coolers, displays, and other account locations.
  • Ability to safely use hand trucks, U-boats, merchandising carts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.
  • Ability to work in retail stores, back rooms, refrigerated areas, and other account environments.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily in retail account locations, including sales floors, back rooms, coolers, storage areas, and parking or receiving areas.
  • Employees may be exposed to cold environments, wet or slippery floors, moving equipment, customer traffic, and varying store conditions.
  • Employees are expected to maintain professional conduct while working in customer locations and representing Pacific Beverage Company.
  • Employees must follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment where applicable.
