IT Security Analyst Intern

Title: IT Security Analyst Intern

Location: Exton, PA, On-site

Full-time: 40 hours per week, Temporary Internship

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award winning, publicly listed (HKSE), full-service CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada, and China, and growing over 30% YOY. Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position Summary:

IT Security Analyst Intern is to ensure the security of the company, to respond to any cyberattacks and security breaches, to support compliance with ISO 27001, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST, GDPR and other appropriate industry standards, to support the organizational strategy in information security and data privacy. This position is part of the IT security team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts and notify IT security officer high risk event for resolution
  • Assess data access and user access control as per approved procedures
  • Review and monitor audit trail to ensure identify abnormal behavior, which may risk the data and system security breach
  • Review and analyze data backup log to ensure proper actions are taken in case of data backup failure
  • Implement security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
  • Review facility access log to identify abnormity.
  • Perform physical walk through to identify security risks

Minimum Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Applicants must currently be enrolled in and completed at least first year of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Systems program.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Microsoft office 365 experience.
