Link Solutions is seeking aย PC Support Technicianย to join our Fort Leavenworth, KS team.

The PC Support Technicianย will support the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB). The PC Support Technician provides technical support to staff by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring the seamless operation of our government IT systems.ย This position works directly with the Network Services Supervisor and IT Manager to ensure ACC technologies remain secure, functional, and up-to-date while also assisting with systems upgrades, documentation, and equipment deployment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provideย help desk information and support; determineย the cause of the problem; offerย temporary solutions if the problem cannot be resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Responds to user inquiries and requests and provides technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications.
  • Install, set up,ย relocate, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software.
  • Configure software upgrades; configure and perform tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance.
  • Install and configure network interfaces and internet connections.
  • Diagnose network cable and configuration problems. ย 
  • Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.
  • Services support ticketsย for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
  • Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for future and existing information systems.
  • Provide on-call support outside of core work hours for unscheduled events or scheduled service interruptions.

Qualifications
  • U.S. citizen with an active DoW secret clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher perย DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE,ย GICSP,ย GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Two (2+) years in a PC Support Technicianย roleย orย relevant field.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting PC/server hardware and software.
  • Experienced in diagnosing network cable issues and configuring network interfaces and internet connections.
  • Proficient in providing help desk support, identifying technical issues, and offering temporary solutions.
  • Capable of responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance on PC systems and applications.
  • Windows workstation systems administration training.
  • Have and maintain a CE certificate inย MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, orย Microsoft Modern Desktop.

Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.ย 
  • Experienceย supporting a Network Enterprise Center and managingย support tickets for TMD users.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.ย 
  • A problem solver and troubleshooterย who thrives in resolvingย complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
