Job description

Yamaha is seeking to fill a PC Support Analyst role for our facility in Marietta, GA. In this role, you will provide technical support, PC set-up and installation of software, hardware, and network problem resolution to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a call center environment. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user assistance as needed, assist Network Technicians; troubleshoot network printer problems. Pass more complex end-user problems on to appropriate Network Team members, conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting and perform related work as required. Handle all Helpdesk requests over the Phone or from the Helpdesk Tracking System for the Yamaha user base (Office or Field) then ensure the call is tracked in the Yamaha CMS. Resolves all Level One/Two end-user problems and requests assistance on all Level Three requests from a Network team member. Responsible for ensuring problem resolution to Helpdesk requests, inventory and warranty service repair when necessary.
What you'll be doing:
  • Resolve all Helpdesk support calls over the phone or from the Helpdesk Tracking System including the following.
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and printer problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic office phone issues as well as supported phone software.
  • Troubleshoot system access including basic network and server access problems.
  • PC set-up and configuration for any New Hire, Transfer, Termination.
  • PC system maintenance and upgrades, basic PC refresh.
  • Basic support, troubleshoot and resolve issues with Yamaha Mobile devices and our GOOD application.
  • Assistance with documents, e-mail, Internet, VPN dial-in and shipping of equipment.
  • Issues that cannot be addressed by the Helpdesk are escalated accordingly.
  • Set-up training classroom.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:
  • AA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimal Five years experience working with computer technology in a business environment.
  • Basic understanding of computer technology in a business environment.
  • Effective computer skills; Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Remote Desktop and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
