We are currently looking for experienced Warehouse Operations & Synchronization Shift Leaders to join our warehouse distribution and customer fulfillment center team in Wilmer, TX located 20 miles south of Dallas, TX.

What will you do?

The P&G Dallas Fulfillment Center Warehouse Operations & Synchronization Shift Leaders provides shift leadership and has end-to-end responsibility for their shift across all onsite technologies and WMS platforms (WMS: PrIME & SAP; Technology: Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Automated Layer Picking System (ALPS)). This individual will provide directions to all departments and is the final decision maker for the prioritization of resources on the shift. This individual needs to have a partnering mentality and be internally motivated to develop and leverage the strengths of their shift to deliver benchmark service and cost results in site flow, productivity and Load on Time (LOT). This individual is an outspoken champion of continuous improvement and drives to deliver best in class results through disciplined Daily Direction Setting (DDS) Action Planning and application of Loss Elimination (LE) tools.This individual will also need to be able to partner and provide direction to our external business partner's leadership.

  • Length of Assignment:3-5 years
  • Work Schedule:12-Hour Shifts, includes overnight and weekend shifts for most employees.
Responsibilities and Scope of Role:
  • Role Model Leadership & Inclusion
  • Lead, coach, develop, and actively support the Sync team.
  • Exemplifies the High Performing Organization (HPO) principles, encourages demonstration of P&G's Purpose, Values, & Principles (PVPs).
  • Partners with Team Leaders from all departments to maintain a cohesive, responsive, flexible, and synchronized organization that prioritizes LOT over individual department results.
  • Holds team leaders and external business partners accountable, identifies and coaches on performance gaps, manages interpersonal issues between personnel, and upholds all Site policies and guidelines.
  • Is able to make difficult data-based decisions .
  • Inform leadership of significant site outages/events on nights and weekends.
Delivering Business Results:
  • Enables delivery of Zero (0) Total Incident Rate (TIR) and Zero (0) Quality Incidents.
  • Leads the 4-hour site Team Leader Connects, which will focus on balancing resources (including External Business Partners) across the site to deliver Benchmark LOT and site KPI (Productivity, Stops, Inventory, etc.) results.
  • Shift exchange DDS for their team, focusing on supporting the business and driving out losses through the management of clearly defined shift action plans & process health checks.
  • Operates with a continuous-improvement mindset and demonstrates a solution-focused spirit.
  • Leads and supports the development of Loss Elimination plans.
  • Leads Shift Recon and LOT gap meetings.
  • Leads delivery for Sync related projects.
  • Actively communicates issues, performance gaps, and help requests throughout the shift and to the Supply Chain (SNO) Sync department manager.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Push & pull objects up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to work at heights & climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., on and around equipment
  • Stand, sit, and /or walk for long periods of time. Surface: Concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven surfaces), and equipment.
  • The ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, etc.
  • Twist bend at the knees, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach
  • The ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing hearing protection, eye protection, and foot protection, and the ability to respond appropriately to various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, fire, etc.
  • Operate a computer keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces.
  • Efficiently operate high speed-equipment
  • The ability to enter and work in enclosed areas.
  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold, generally in warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust and dirt.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Able to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Be willing to work rotating shifts
Work Schedule:
  • Work schedule depends on the role and could include some combination of day shift and night shift schedules to support the business. Schedule changes will be communicated with advanced notice.
