The P&G Professional (PRO) Communications and Industry Advocacy Director will support our P&G Professional organization which is dedicated to helping businesses thrive with effective commercial cleaning solutions from brands you know and trust. Our commitment to excellence ensures worry-free cleaning, enabling professionals to tackle commercial cleaning challenges confidently, elevating their businesses to new heights.

In this role the P&G Processional Communications and Industry Advocacy Director will architect and lead P&G Professional's industry relations, advocacy, and communication strategy. This pivotal role will establish P&G Professional as the undisputed leader in the professional cleaning industry, shaping the external environment to drive business growth, building unbreakable brand equity through brand storytelling, and championing narrative with key internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and architectthe P&G Professional industry engagement strategy, cultivating a network of influential relationships with trade associations, regulatory bodies, and key opinion leaders to shape the industry narrative and create a favorable commercial environment.

  • Develop and directan internal and external integrated communications platform that elevates the P&G PRO brand, builds unshakeable equity, and establishes our executives as premier thought leaders in the industry.

  • Serve as the strategic partnerto the end to end organization ensuring a cohesive and powerful brand story is told across all touchpoints-from major industry events to customer-facing content.

  • Lead the strategy for P&G PRO's presenceat key trade shows and conferences, transforming them from simple showcases into powerful platforms for relationship building, lead generation, and competitive differentiation.

  • Orchestrate P&G PRO's complete media and digital ecosystem.This includes driving a proactiveearned media engineto secure high-impact coverage and directing the content and growth strategy for allowned channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)to reach key audiences.

  • Develop a portfolio of strategic relationships with key industry decision-makers that yields tangible business opportunities (e.g., preferred supplier status, input on new standards, pilot programs). Demonstrate clear, positive influence on key policy or regulatory outcomes annually.

  • Measurable growth in P&G PRO's share of voice, positive sentiment, and brand preference metrics within key industry publications and target audiences.

  • Establishment of a cohesive executive communications platform that positions P&G PRO leadership as recognized industry experts, measured by an increase in high-profile speaking opportunities, media features, and positive stakeholder feedback.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, Business or a related field

  • 5-10 years of experience as a people manager with a proven track record of coaching and developing others

  • 5-10 Years editorial experience; PR agency experience is a plus

  • 5-10 Years program management experience

  • Experience navigating large, matrixed organizations and driving decision-making

  • 2-5 Years of vendor/agency management experience

  • Ability to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio
