The Product Owner position will work directly with leaders and stakeholders of the Merchants Accounting, Risk, Internal Audit & HR teams to refine and implement technology solutions supporting strategic roadmap objectives. They will be focused on leading implementations through initial delivery and the ongoing maturity using a comprehensive agile software delivery framework with their team and business partners.  A successful Product Owner will plan, implement, and support strategic software and data solutions that deliver business results. They will also educate and champion software delivery, application management and data governance best practices within the organization.


The Product Owner should be able to do the following confidently and independently...  

  • Plan and lead implementation of complex projects from initiation through go live.
  • Partner with the Product Manager & business leaders to refine initial analysis of strategic roadmap objectives into detailed, prioritized, and executable backlog of work for delivery.
  • Manage and prioritize a holistic product team backlog including:
    • Strategic Business Goals
    • Maturing technology capabilities 
    • Support, Scale and Continuous Improvement of existing solutions 
    • Regulatory and Ad-hoc business needs 
  • Help project delivery leadership to establish and coach business partners on software delivery and application management      frameworks and best practices.
  • Establish a strong partnership with Product Manager and business unit leaders to understand strategy, product, process, and      goals to ensure technology solutions align.
  • Provide input on strategic technology roadmap by maintaining a backlog of future value for your business partners.
  • Guide and assist internal and vendor development teams.      

Requirements



What we are looking for... 

  • 5-8 years leading complex, cross-team software implementations, with direct experience delivering solutions for accounting, finance, or treasury functions.
  • Strong background of leading teams towards common goals without direct management. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required. 
  • Experience operating and executing within delivery frameworks (Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience with Analytics solutions preferred.
  • Mortgage and/or Banking industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
