Description

The Administrator will be assigned to one or more projects. The Administrator must have an understanding of the oil & gas leasing and solar operations, timelines, and project requirements with minimal training.

This position supports upcoming projects and anticipated growth. While an immediate opening may not be available, we’re actively building a talent pipeline and encourage qualified candidates to apply.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Digitizing (Converting geographic data either from a hardcopy or scanned image into vector data.)
  • Create professional maps from preliminary data.
  • Develop routes based on desktop review, identify structures, potential encroachments, permits, etc.
  • Data entry/records updates into the Percheron project database.
  • Create data deliverables (KMZ’s, shapes, geodatabase, reports, etc.)
  • Utilize discretion in the creation of deliverables for business units.
  • Number of property tracts per client/internal protocols.
  • Convert/transform Lat/Long Data.
  • Map leases from internal and external sites.
  • Work efficiently under pressure with constant deadlines.
  • Work effectively on projects simultaneously.
  • Plot legal descriptions and boundaries.
  • Perform standard spatial analysis such as buffering, intersects, selections, etc.
  • Work with minimum supervision and assist other technicians as needed.
  • Interface directly with the field as needed and implement operating polices.
  • Evaluate project and client GIS needs and utilize independent judgment for decision-making regarding needs.
  • Able to make independent judgments/decisions.
  • Perform the majority of tasks independently without oversight.
  • Collaborate with GIS Tech 1 as needed or instructed.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

  • Training available with the following required skills
  • Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure without supervision.
  • Possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and good analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (i.e. Word and Excel).
  • Database experience with the ability to learn Percheron’s NSite database and client databases.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and the Company's policies and procedures.
Work Environmental and Physical Demands
  • Spends 100% of the time in an office environment.
  • Is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. 
  • Is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
