Senior Business Analyst

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Durham, NC (Hybrid schedule with required attendance at scheduled All Hands meetings, currently two multiโ€‘day meetings 2โ€“4 times a year, at the Durham office)
Position Type: Fullโ€‘Time
Min. Experience: Director of Data Systems
Salary: $95,000โ€‘115,000 per year based on relevant experience.

Family Connects International (FCI) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonโ€‘profit, providing training and technical support for the implementation of the evidenceโ€‘based Family Connects Model, developed at Duke University. Family Connects (FC) is a communityโ€‘based program supporting new parents in caring for their newborns, offering physical assessments of the postpartum person and infant, addressing questions about caring for a newborn, providing supportive guidance, and helping them access any community services or resources needed.

Occupational Summary

The Business Analyst will report to the Director of Data Systems as part of FCIโ€™s Data team. The Business Analyst needs a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, preferably including Health Cloud, and a desire to continue learning new skills as the platform updates. The Business Analyst plays an important externalโ€‘facing role, ensuring that Community Partners have the skills and support to successfully use the Health Cloud platform to enter accurate data, and collaborating with team members in both the Data and Implementation teams to ensure that Community Partners are receiving highโ€‘quality and actionable reporting back from FCI to continually improve their programs. The Business Analyst should have strong skills in training, meeting facilitation, and adult learning styles. They should be able to jump into problemโ€‘solving, process and workflow solutions, and support the data team in translating user feedback into technical solutions. The Business Analystโ€™s work will include designing and delivering internal and external trainings, data quality management, troubleshooting KPI snapshots, supporting community partners with data reporting needs, and supporting Salesforce ticket resolution as needed.

Data Quality and Process Improvement
  • Oversight of data quality management process, including creating monthly reports.
  • Support the process of creating monthly KPI snapshots and Tableau dashboards to ensure full staff capacity.
  • Identify and gather feedback and translate into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
User Training and Engagement
  • Provide user training, including creation of training materials.
  • Support community partners to utilize data reports in their own quality improvement and other efforts.
  • Lead office hours, participate in Data Advisory Board meetings and other venues for listening to user feedback and communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
Salesforce Administration
  • Learn the process of user support tickets, in order to support the Data Team in assigning, addressing, and resolving tickets in a timely manner.
  • Identify unused or underโ€‘utilized platform features.
  • Monitor and improve user adoption.
  • Strong skills in Salesforce administration:
  • All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
  • Assist in creating a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders.
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Oversight
  • Oversight of analytical priorities, methodologies, and output across the data analytics team.
Required Qualifications
  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.
  • At least 5 years of consistent SF Business Analyst work experience.
  • Strong Salesforce / Health Cloud experience.
  • Working knowledge of integrated applications.
  • Strong Tableau experience.
  • Team management experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile / SDLC and Project Management Methodologies.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including process flows, configuration guides, and business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional Salesforce certifications, e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, etc.
  • Bachelorโ€™s / Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Familiarity with LMS tools and digital training delivery platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Family Connects program implementation and how the centralized data system supports model fidelity and program improvement.
Physical Requirements
  • Extended sitting (up to 8 hours per day).

  • Ability to work in different (changing) locations.
  • Ability to perform duties in an active environment with changes in climate and noise level.
  • Ability to travel by air, train, and car.
