Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Welder III.  Pay is $23.00 per hour.

This person will be responsible for the interior and exterior of every weld product that enters their designated station for welding defects, base metal defects, and dimensional tolerances and repairs those products to meet specification requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to read and write legibly
  • Must be able to read/understand and work from shop drawings
  • Must be able to operate overhead crane and jib hoist
  • Must be able to operate forklift

Required Qualifications

  • Prior welding/cutting experience
  • Must be able to pass in house weld test
  • Must be able to make sound welds
  • Must have a safety-first attitude.
  • Be respectful to all persons.
  • Be responsible, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Must pass a forklift safety course and demonstrate safe practices.
  • Must be able to pass practical and written overhead crane training course.
  • Must be familiar with machinery and possess a basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings for basic dimensions.
  • Flexible for non-standard working hours.
  • Must have good organizational/housekeeping skills and problem resolution skills.
  • Required to lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
