About PKL Services Inc.

About the role
PKL Services will be providing contractor Intermediate Level (I-Level) maintenance in support Fleet Readiness Center West Detachment China Lake (FRCW DET CL) at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules.
Individual Material Readiness List Asset Technicians manage Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) asset inventories on Local Asset Management Systems (LAMS), as set forth by the Naval Aviation Maintenance program (NAMP) and the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) Program.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Provide logistical support functions. This includes parts, and material ordering, parts expediting, maintaining, and warehousing IMRL operations.
  • Responsible for all IMRL accounting, stocking, issues, transfer, and receipts of associate aircraft IMRL equipment assigned to the command.
  • MRL technicians inventory gains and losses, re-identifications, inventory updates, submitting surveys, sub-custody information, and item requisition.

Maintain inventory control of authorized allowances of material listed in the IMRL and authorized allowance lists.
Maintains adequate accountability of material and equipment on custody.
• Orders, receives, inspects, stows, preserves, packages, ships, and issues/cargo account for Government materials and funds expenditures.
• Prepare and maintains required forms, reports, records, and files.
About you
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Navy or Marine Corps or Coast Guard IMRL Duties.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Shall have a Navy Enlisted Classification Code of 9590 (or USMC equivalent) and shall have completed a Navy training course for IMRL Managers: D-555-0026 or E-555-0026.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of Navy AMMRL/IMRL system.
• Working knowledge of the CNAFINST 4790.2 and naval maintenance publications.
• Shall be a U.S. citizen and be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible to qualify for and maintain a Secret security clearance.

  • This is a full time/ non-exempt/ union position.
  • The company sponsors group medical, dental, vision, basic life paid coverage plans for the employee/family. Employee contributions required.
  • A medical insurance bi-weekly "opt out" credit of $100 for those that have other medical insurance from another source.
  • 401k plan
  • Eleven (11) paid holidays per year.
  • Employees will accrue PTO at a bi-weekly accrual rate of 6.16 hours per pay period. (160 hours annually)
  • 40 paid Sick hours each calendar year.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Primarily in an office environment but may traverse into high noise areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps.
• Ability to both sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key).
• This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
• May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
• The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate.
• May be exposed at times to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, rain, wind.
