Department:  Facilities Management
Location: Ten Sleep, WY
Classification: Winter Seasonal, Full time
Pay: $23-$27/hour plus tips

Position Overview

The Overnight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the property during overnight hours. This position serves as the primary on-site point of contact during assigned shifts and is responsible for monitoring the property, responding to emergencies, performing basic maintenance and custodial duties, and maintaining a clean and secure environment for residents, guests, and staff. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security:
    • Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and common spaces throughout the shift
    • Monitor property security and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations
    • Secure and unlock facilities, gates, doors, and amenities as required
    • Serve as the on-site emergency point of contact during overnight hours
    • Maintain incident logs and prepare detailed reports of unusual occurrences or security concerns
  • Maintenance:
    • Perform routine property inspections to identify maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions
    • Address minor maintenance concerns when possible and report issues requiring specialized repair
    • Ensure common areas, entrances, walkways, and facilities remain safe and operational
    • Monitor building systems and promptly report any concerns to management or appropriate vendors
  • Emergency Response: 
    • Act as the first responder for on-site emergencies and assist with implementing emergency procedures
    • Contact emergency services when necessary and provide support until assistance arrives
    • Coordinate communication with management regarding emergencies, incidents, or significant property concerns
    • Remain calm, professional, and effective during emergency situations
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to residents, guests, vendors, and staff
    • Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and shift reports accurately and timely
    • Communicate important information during shift transitions
    • Perform basic custodial duties after employees and guests have left for the day
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support property operations

Requirements:

  • Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license
  • Previous experience in security, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, hospitality, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as needed
  • Basic knowledge of custodial practices and building maintenance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate reports and documentation
 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout an overnight shift
  • Ability to walk extensive distances while conducting property patrols and inspections
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies
  • Sufficient visual and hearing ability to monitor safety conditions and identify potential hazards
