Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Overnight Grocery Clerk to join our night operations team.  The ideal candidate enjoys working independently but can collaborate seamlessly with a team to hit nightly stocking goals.  The ultimate goal is to create a clean, fully stocked, and welcoming environment for morning customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Unpack daily freight and distribute merchandise to the appropriate aisles. 
  •  Apply first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to manage product freshness. 
  •  Coordinate with other crew members to divide tasks and clear the backroom efficiently. 
  • Performs merchandise inventory as directed. 
  •  Break down cardboard boxes, discard trash, and clean up spills promptly. 
  • Cleans shelves, bins, tables, and coolers.
  • Sets up displays and stocks shelves, coolers, counter, bins, tables, freezers, containers, or trays with new merchandise.
  •  Other duties as assigned.
  • Observe all store rules and company policies.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
  • Follow safety guidelines when working, especially when lifting, using cutting tools, large machinery, ladders, stretch and take breaks when performing repetitive motions, etc.
  • Follow health guidelines to ensure safe product is provided to our customers.
  • Knowledge of Weight & Measure Laws. 
  • Knowledge of Local, State and Regulations.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be 18 years old or older.  Must be available for overnight shifts from 10pm-6am.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 


Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Leadership Ability:

Ability to exercise sound leadership, problem solving, creating a team culture and good negotiation skills.


Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office.

Food Handler Certification.
