Union Wage Info

This is a union position, pay and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement.

We are seeking dependable and safetydriven Union Laborers to support pile foundation installation and assist with field QA/QC on utilityscale solar projects. This role involves handson field work, measuring and verifying pile installation quality, and assisting equipment operators and supervisors to keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow all safety procedures, attend daily toolbox talks. Maintain all required PPE and support a strong safety culture on the crew.
  • Handle, stage, and prepare steel piles for installation, including rigging, sorting, and material movement.
  • Remain vigilant of equipment movement, ground hazards, weather conditions, and changing site conditions.
  • Load/unload materials and keep work areas organized.
  • Assist in correcting or adjusting piles under supervision when deviations are found.
  • Work effectively with Operators, Foremen, QA/QC teams, and fellow union laborers.
  • Communicate clearly about hazards, task changes, or quality concerns.
  • Will require travel to job sites and overnight.
  • Travel, including overnight stays, is an essential function of this role.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current OSHA 10 or 30 Certifications preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a CDL is a plus.
  • Construction or outdoor labor experience preferred (solar experience plus).
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work on uneven terrain. This is a physically demanding position and requires ability to work long hours in the outdoor elements. A post-offer functional test is required.
