Technical Writer – Expression of Interest

At ChangeIs, we partner with U.S. Federal organizations to modernize large suites of applications, and we’re always looking for talented Technical Writers to join our team for future opportunities. If you have experience in technical writing, software documentation, or related fields, and you’re looking for an exciting contract position with competitive pay and benefits, we’d love to hear from you!

Most of our positions are remote, offering flexibility while working on impactful projects.

Key Skills amp; Qualifications We’re Looking For:
  • Technical Writing: Proven experience in creating clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, release notes, and online help systems.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with software developers, engineers, and product managers to gather information and translate it into easily understandable content for diverse audiences.
  • Documentation Tools: Proficiency with documentation tools like MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Confluence, or similar.
  • Technical Concepts: Familiarity with technical concepts related to web development, software engineering, and cloud systems. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Markdown is a plus.
  • Federal Experience: Prior experience working on projects for U.S. Federal organizations is preferred, but not required.
  • Clearance: U.S. Federal security clearance or eligibility to obtain one is preferred.
