Finding Path Psychological Center is in search of an experienced and empathic Licensed Mental Health Counselor, holding credentials such as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. • Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate and diagnose clients’ mental health and substance use issues, with a specific focus on identifying co-occurring disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, employing evidence-based therapies such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to develop effective coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and skills for emotional regulation.
• Coordinate care effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic treatment that nurtures both mental health and substance use recovery.
• Monitor clients' substance use regularly, utilizing motivational interviewing to keep clients engaged in their recovery process and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate clients and their families regarding the nuances of co-occurring disorders and the critical importance of adhering to treatment plans.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of treatment progress and interventions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences, training workshops, and staff meetings to enhance clinical competencies, share insights, and collaborate on the best practices for treating co-occurring disorders.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders.
• A solid understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use and the strategies to address both in treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

• Experience in an outpatient mental health setting, specifically working with clients facing substance use challenges.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and electronic health record systems to ensure seamless documentation and care coordination.
• Knowledge of community resources and support groups that can be integrated into client care plans.
