Job description

Job Summary

The Overnight Manager will supervise the building's overnight operations and responsibilities including but not limited to the supervision of the building's cleaning, mechanical and temporary staff. This position is also responsible for the coordination and oversight of construction and program related projects.

Job Responsibilities

Include Train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all overnight staff. Maintain accurate records for overnight staff, including attendance, vacation, sick, and personal time, disciplinary actions, backup staff call-in lists and other departmental information, as needed. Ensure adequate overnight staffing coverage and confirm that all building responsibilities are completed on time and according to required standards.

Work closely with other departments and supervisors to support building operations and resolve issues as needed. Respond promptly to building emergencies and take appropriate action when necessary. Conduct daily quality control inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with egress and operational standards. Complete daily inspection reports for review by the Building Operation's leadership. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired HD Diploma or equivalency required. 3+ years' experience in a managerial or facility operations environment. Previous managerial experience, with strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team into achieving required service standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills dealing with a diverse population of personnel.

Excellent organizational, scheduling, and record keeping skills. Strong computer skills, including the ability to maintain inventory control databases and prepare departmental schedules, correspondence, reports, and budget spreadsheets. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Zoom.

Extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with building custodial operations, cleaning procedures and maintenance technologies. Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, as well as other basic mechanical skills. Work Environment & Requirements Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 pm – 7:00 am. Flexibility to work holiday shifts required.

Compensation

Range $55,000 - $65,000 The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
