LOCATION: Special Services- Maintenance Department
EFFECTIVE: Upon Hire
POSTING DATE: August 28, 2026

POSITION: 8 Hours Per Day
Twelve (12) Month Position, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $23.40 - $29.14 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the operation of the stockroom and maintaining records of food, chemicals, custodial supplies and other items. Schedule deliveries, deliver district food and parcels throughout the district, moving of district supplies and materials for special events including musical instruments, tables, chairs and risers and work with freight delivery companies. This person must be skilled in using a computer to maintain inventories of supplies by using databases and as a communication tool using email.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A current, valid Class D Operator Driver's License.
  • Computer and communication skills ( email, phone etc ) preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Training or work experience with the operation of a stockroom including receiving and distributing.
  • Effectively communicate with district staff concerning orders, supplies and deliveries
  • Experience maintaining records accurately
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with others
  • Proven ability to evaluate the condition of shipments, equipment, supplies and food products
  • Credentialed to operate board-owned vehicles
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move supplies and equipment such as food, cartons of paper, etc.
  • Understanding of confidentiality about all school matters
  • Must be able to operate postage machines, tow motors, forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of other material handling equipment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and in inclement conditions
  • Arrange warehouse items in an orderly manner

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists co-workers as required in the maintenance/grounds as needed
  • Run mail routes when needed
  • Summer painting
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. (i.e. snow plowing, etc.)

INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS AND PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Occasional operation of vehicles and performance of job duties under inclement weather conditions.
  • Occasional use of potentially hazardous solvents related materials.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes and/or emissions.
  • Lifting and moving supplies and equipment

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS (*indicates developed after employment):
KNOWLEDGE OF: Board policies and procedures*; basic first aid procedures; office management; specific office/department computer applications.
ABILITY TO: Apply office practices and procedures to solve everyday problems; follow instructions; communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and the public; develop and maintain effective working relationships; prepare reports; maintain records; respond to routine or sensitive inquiries with the general public; and maintain confidentiality.
SKILL IN: Organization, computer operation and written communication.
