Anesthesia Technician II - NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital- Evenings
At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, we're redefining the possibilities in surgical care. Led by conscientious and highly skilled medical professionals, our remarkably advanced technology enables us to treat some of the world's most complex cases. You can help make it possible. We are currently seeking an Anesthesia Technician II to join our world-renowned team at our NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital.
Essential Job Duties Include:
-Provides approved assistance to Anesthesiologists / CRNA's during the induction, maintenance and emergence from Anesthesia.
-Assists the anesthesiologists/ CRNA's with the placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.
-Maintains on a daily and case to case basis, the equipment and supplies necessary to provide quality and cost effective anesthesia care to all patients cared for by the Anesthesia Department.
-Applies principles of infection control and safety, including proper handling, cleaning, sterilizing and/or disposal of equipment or supplies used in regular and contaminated cases.
-Sets up sterile equipment, such as intravenous, central venous, arterial and pulmonary artery catheters using sterile technique.
-Sets up, operates, and disassembles cell saver equipment and rapid infuser devices as assigned.
-Ensures the sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment, including TEE's, fiber optic scopes and LMA's.
-Ensures workroom areas are clean and orderly before, during and after each shift.
-Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
This is a full-time opportunity at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. This position will work Monday-Friday and the shift will be 1pm-9pm.
Preferred Criteria
โ€ข Certification by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Required Criteria
โ€ข High School Diploma or GED
โ€ข Experience as an Anesthesia Technician
โ€ข Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
Salary Range:
$29.17-$31.27/Hourly
