Responsibilities

Your Role: 

The Operations Team Lead is responsible for directing and coordinating employees during assigned shifts, including packers and relief team members. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations by performing safety audits, quality checks, standard work audits, and production support. The Operations Team Lead plays a critical role in workforce coordination, process execution, and continuous improvement.

  • Direct and coordinate packers and line technicians during assigned shifts.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and motivate team members.
  • Assist in training all new packers.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Complete weekly time and attendance for hourly employees.
  • Ensure labor is scheduled in accordance with financial standards.
Safety & Quality
  • Perform weekly safety observations and layered audits
  • Conduct routine quality checks and standard work audits throughout the shift
  • Coordinate quality rework during downtime and planned events
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and lead monthly safety and quality training meetings
Operations & Process Management
  • Coordinate line assignments for packers and line technicians
  • Coordinate material set-up and material returns for packaging changeovers
  • Coordinate changeover job packets with line technicians
  • Conduct daily SAP downtime coding
  • Assist on the production floor with production support and audits
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor operational KPIs including productivity, quality, and downtime
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ensure smooth workflow and effective shift handovers
  • Align daily operations with company goals and objectives

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse team lead experience
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Experience with timekeeping systems such as SAP, ADP, or Kronos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate at all organizational levels
  • 3-5+ years of experience in operations or a related field
