Job Title: Microsoft Dataverse & Power Apps Developer (Hybrid)
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:
Scope of the project:
The Microsoft Dataverse & Power Apps Developer will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and other technical teams to design, build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform. The developer will be responsible for hands-on development, integration, automation, data modeling, troubleshooting, and solution optimization. This role requires deep knowledge of Dataverse tables, security, Power Apps (model-driven and canvas apps), Power Automate flows, and enterprise integration patterns. The position is highly hands-on and focused on delivering robust, scalable business applications. Strong, collaborative team environment with heavy focus on modern technologies, continuous improvement, and innovation. Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise Power Apps solutions (canvas and model-driven)
  • Build and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, APIs and security roles.
  • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise applications and data sources including Azure services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, test, and production environment.
  • Work closely with business partners to translate requirements into functional solutions
  • Implement best practices around solution architecture, governance, data modeling and secure-by-design development.
  • Maintain documentation for configuration, data models, custom connectors, workflows and operational support.
  • Assist in building monitoring, auditing, logging and compliance controls in alignment with enterprise policies.

Required Education:
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Must hold Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics Certification or 5+ years of equivalent experience

Required Skills (rank in order of importance):
  • 5+ years of Hands-on Power Apps Development (model-driven and canvas)
  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions using Dataverse, including advanced data modeling and security architecture
  • Strong experience with Power Automate for building complex workflows and integrations
  • Experience creating and managing custom connectors, APIs and Integrations with Azure Services
  • Solid understanding of Power Platform environments, ALM, solution management, DevOps and Deployment pipelines
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, PowerFx, and low code extensibility patterns

Preferred Skills (rank in order of importance):
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic apps, and Azure API Management
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE configuration and extended Dataverse Features
  • Experience with enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, PCI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Power BI for reporting integrations
  • Understanding of security architecture within Power Platform and Azure AD.

Preferred Certifications:
  • PL-400 Power Platform Developer
  • PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Additional Skills/Duties:
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Self-starter capable of managing work independently while collaborating across teams.
