Job description

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a SharePoint and Power Apps Developer to support a new role on a contract in Washington, DC. 

The contractor shall do work that involves design and documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software. The contractor shall expect to do work that involves analyzing and refining systems requirements, translating systems requirements into applications prototypes; planning and designing systems architecture; writing, debugging, and maintaining code; determining and designing applications architecture; determining output media/formats; designing user interfaces; working with customers to test applications; assuring software and systems quality and functionality; integrating hardware and software components; writing and maintaining program documentation; evaluating new applications software technologies; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services. The environment is SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft Power Apps.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be able to successfully pass a government background investigation and obtain a Public Trust (High) issuance.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and developing applications at the Senior Programmer level or,
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in an IT-related field plus three (3) years at the Senior Programmer level.
  • Proficient developing complex SharePoint and Power App assignments.
  • Knowledge of latest trends and best practices in application architecture.
  • Experience with working on full project life cycle starting with requirements gathering all the way to unit testing and system documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience providing project briefs to senior executives.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to submit work that does not need further correction.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Build Canvas apps and Model Driven Apps based on business requirements.
  • Create responsive user interfaces that support desktops, tablet\mobile devices.
  • Integrate applications with Microsoft Power Automate workflows.
  • Connect applications to data sources including Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server and REST APIs.
  • Implement reusable components and application templates.
  • Implement role-based security and access controls, configure environment security and permissions.
  • Ensure compliance with agency governance policies and security controls.
  • Follow federal accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508) and cybersecurity requirements.
