Pony Bird, Inc. is looking for a Overnight Nursing Supervisor to join our team!! We provide high-quality supports and services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in a fun, enriching, and supportive environment. The person in this position functions in the role of expert RN clinician and consultant for the care and treatment of a specified population of individuals with severe to profound physical and mental disabilities.


Partnering with the Medical Team, the Clinical Nurse RN works to establish a framework of Evidence-Based Nursing Practice and Competency to maintain a cohesive nursing team. In collaboration with the Director of Medical Services, Program Managers, program directors, therapists, physicians, parents / guardians, and service coordinators, the Clinical Nurse RN monitors the care of Individuals and provides support necessary to improve care and individual outcomes in Community Living and Community Support Services.


This position provides program oversight for designated aspects of care of Individuals in Community Living Services and staff training as assigned by the Director of Medical Services, including but not limited to day habilitation services, community living services, Medication Aide Level 1 training, Skills Proficiency Tracking, Infection Prevention and Control, Risk Assessment, and RN oversight for assigned LPN
caseloads. The Clinical Nurse RN is a leader, patient advocate, agent of change, cost-effective practitioner, and delegating nurse to MA1 staff.

Schedule 

  • Monday - Friday, 
  • 8 hour overnight shift
  • On-call rotation outside of regular office hours

Qualifications:

1. Must be a licensed RN or LPN in the state of Missouri. RN preferred.

2. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.

3. Must be CPR / AED certified.

4. Valid Missouri Driver's License in good standing.

5. Experience and knowledge of care principles affecting individuals with severe to profound developmental disabilities.

6. Demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills.

7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

8. Excellent keyboard and software skills to keep computerized records.

9. Ability to maintain confidential information.

10. Knowledge of the care planning process.

11. Proven ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of Individuals.

12. Able to perform transfers of Individuals using assistive lifting devices.

13. Must be able to take and give accurate verbal directions and telephone orders.

14. Must be willing to obtain certification to teach MA1 class.

15. Possess the ability to work independently.

16. Demonstrate professionalism with communication and collaboration in all healthcare settings.
