Job description

Assistant Wellness Director/ Nursing Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant Wellness Director/Nursing Supervisor to support the delivery of exceptional resident care in our senior living community. This leadership role assists with clinical operations, staff supervision, resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Wellness Director serves as the department leader in the absence of the Wellness Director.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations of the Wellness Department and supervise Resident Assistants and Med Techs.
  • Assist with staffing schedules, team training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with residents, families, physicians, and care providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and oversee medication management in accordance with state regulations.
  • Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive health.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents and team members.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Coordinate with home health, hospice, laboratory, and other healthcare partners.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty and provide leadership in the absence of the Wellness Director.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare leadership or management experience.
  • Experience working with seniors, assisted living, memory care, or long-term care populations.
  • Strong knowledge of resident care, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, TB test, and physical.
