Job description

Job Summary -
We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Sealcoat Crew Laborer to assist with asphalt maintenance and sealcoating operations. This role involves prepping surfaces, applying sealcoat, handling equipment, and supporting the crew to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. It’s a hands-on, outdoor job that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Prepare asphalt surfaces by cleaning, blowing, edging, and removing debris
  • Assist with mixing, loading, and applying sealcoat material to driveways, parking lots, and roadways
  • Use brushes, squeegees, and spray systems to apply sealcoat evenly
  • Set up cones, barricades, and signage to ensure safe work zones
  • Maintain tools, hoses, and equipment; assist with clean-up at the end of each shift
  • Assist with crack filling, line striping, and other related tasks as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times
  • Work cooperatively with team members and take direction from the foreman
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements -

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Previous experience in sealcoating or asphalt maintenance is a plus, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot weather and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and materials
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
