Overview
Parkwest Casino is looking for an experienced Overnight Kitchen Cleaner (Dishwasher/ heavy Cleaning). Who doesn't like a clean Kitchen? Help us keep our Casino and Restaurant clean.
Qualified candidate will assist us to clean and sanitize all kitchen and restaurant areas by performing the following duties. If you're the best at what you do and enjoy providing superior service in an exciting atmosphere we would love to meet you!
Responsibilities
  1. Cleans and maintains floor mats and degreaser; ensures drains are properly cleaned and maintained.
  2. Wash, degrease and scrub all floors.
  3. Cleans all exhaust hoods and removable vents. Keeps all stoves, oven, salamanders, grills and fryers clean.
  4. Thoroughly wash, sanitizes and polishes all stainless-steel equipment and countertops; including legs and the inside/outside of the shelves.
  5. Overall responsible for cleanliness of floors, walk-ins, freezers, drains, floor mats, grease traps, and garbage disposals. Operates dishwashing machine.
  6. Perform kitchen washing services, and achieve the required standards of performance by meeting policies, procedures, work instructions, training initiatives, codes of conduct and other directives.
  7. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: emptying trash containers, cleaning any and all kitchen facilities, assisting with inventories, performing any assigned duties in other kitchen areas, etc.
  8. Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime when needed.
  9. Reports unsafe condition or machine malfunction to the immediate Supervisor and/or Department Head immediately.
  10. Ensures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facility.
  11. Ensures that assigned work area is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  12. Represents Parkwest Bicycle Casino well in all contacts. Maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
  13. Must be available to work all shifts supporting a 24/7 environment.
  14. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
  • Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Available for full time work including weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
  • Requires ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work within a team environment

Education: No specific education required. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Experience: One-two years' experience in kitchen of comparable quality preferred but not required.
Physical and mental requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
