Job Summary

The Regional GSE Manager drives operational compliance, fleet availability, and maintenance performance across assigned regional stations. Requiring up to 50% travel, this role manages local GSE Managers, internal mechanics, and external vendors while enforcing WFS procedural standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating scheduled and emergency repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. 
Employment Status: Salaried Full-Time 
Compensation Rate: Dependent On Experience (DOE)
City & Airport: Remote - Must reside near a major U.S. airport 

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot on-site and remotely to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and subsystems.
  • Inspect, repair, and/or overhaul components and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
  • Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications.
  • Strict adherence to all environmental safety and regulatory commissions, including (but not limited to) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).   
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Oversee administrative compliance to ensure all operational procedures and corporate standards are consistently met. 
  • Oversee the execution and completion of all preventative, routine, and non-routine GSE repairs. 
  • Assist local management to ensure compliance of WFS procedures with on-site WFS mechanics and/or third-party GSE maintenance providers.
  • Mentor and train current and new WFS mechanics.
  • Other duties and assignments as designated.
Minimum Requirements

MUST HAVE Heavy equipment experience for consideration. History in Airport Ground Support Equipment.

  • Candidate must be proficient in welding and fabricating.
  • Candidate must have expert knowledge of CAN bus systems.
  • Must have expert knowledge of DEF systems.
  • Must have expert knowledge of EGR systems
  • Must have expert knowledge of troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to travel and support 3 or more airports and must be badged in them.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and possibly split days off.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in heavy equipment, including cranes, oil field, mining rail, or maritime.
  • May be called upon to work in different locations.
  • Must be available for extended overnight travel.
  • Must be strong in leadership and organization.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to communicate with customers.
  • Must have good computer skills and be able to complete internal and customer forms. 
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to work under any type of weather.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files, and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
