Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead AV Installation Technician to oversee and execute commercial audiovisual (AV) installations across a variety of environments, including corporate offices, conference rooms, educational facilities, and other commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AV installation experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is 50% overnight travel with 50% local travel.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform commercial AV system installations, including displays, projectors, video walls, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and conferencing solutions
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians and installers on job sites
  • Interpret and execute installation plans, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
  • Rack, mount, terminate, label, and test AV equipment and cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, speaker wire, etc.)
  • Configure and test AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation and system issues efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation, as-built drawings, and job status reports
  • Provide on-site client support and basic user training as needed
