Summary of Responsibility:
As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, designing and installing machinery or equipment in an industrial environment using state-of-the-art instruments, advanced computer systems and knowledge of programming and engineering. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
What You Will Contribute:
  • Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
  • Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Programing and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills
  • Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, and/ or multi-tasking machines
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • 2 year Technical Degree in Manufacturing Technology (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of Machine Programming and Set-Up Experience (Okuma/Tsugami Experience Preferred)
  • Fanuc Control Experience
  • Mitsubishi Control Experience
  • CAM Programming Experience
  • G&M Code Programming Experience
  • Tolerance for travel and overnight stays (Home/Customer Sites -> 80/20 split)
  • Willingness to be trained into other machines beyond our flagship lines, Okuma & Tsugami.

  • Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
