  • Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding methods.
  • Perform post-processor edits and optimize programs for machine efficiency.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and improve processes.
  • Conduct first-article inspections and verify part conformity to specifications.
  • Maintain and update CNC program libraries and documentation.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for programming and machining operations.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficiency in G-code programming for 3-axis CNC mills.
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of various materials and their machinability properties.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling (e.g., advanced surfacing, simulation).
  • Familiarity with a variety of machine tool controllers and their specific G-code dialects (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
  • Ability to perform basic machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Experience with post-processor development or modification.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
