Job Description Title: CNC Applications Engineer Comp: $30-$45/hour + Overtime + Profit Sharing Location: Noblesville, IN (Onsite) Travel: Up to 40% Domestic Travel Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a CNC Applications Engineer direct hire position in the Noblesville, IN area. Responsibilities: Review customer part prints, time studies, and machine quotations to develop machining solutions Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs for customer applications and machine demonstrations Develop tooling, work-holding, and process documentation to support machine sales and project execution Set up, program, test, troubleshoot, and debug CNC machines to ensure customer requirements are achieved Prepare machines for shipment by verifying setups, inventorying project components, and completing packing documentation Support machine acceptance testing, customer runoffs, and final machine validation prior to shipment Travel to customer facilities for machine installation, startup, troubleshooting, training, and technical support Provide programming and technical assistance to customers and internal teams via phone, email, and onsite visits Collaborate with tooling, work-holding, engineering, and project teams to develop turnkey machining solutions Support customers by developing production processes, achieving cycle time goals, and ensuring on-time machine delivery Train customers on machine operation, programming, and best machining practices Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment around machinery and application projects Work with advanced CNC turning, mill-turn, Swiss, multi-spindle, and automation systems Required Skills (Must Have): 5+ years of CNC programming, CNC setup, CNC applications, or related machining experience Strong hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, turning centers, or mill-turn machines Proficiency with CNC machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and G-code programming Experience machining metal components (not wood or plastics) Fanuc or Siemens control experience Manufacturing environment experience where technical problem solving and project execution were critical Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer part prints Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Machining Technology, or related field CAM software experience Customer-facing technical support experience Project management experience Experience conducting time studies and first-part runoffs Exposure to Swiss-style machines, multi-spindle machines, or advanced turning centers Experience with automation systems, robotics, or integrated manufacturing solutions Knowledge of tooling selection, work-holding design, and process development #ENG123
