Description

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Health team in Woodstock, IL. This role offers the opportunity to practice across multiple levels of care, contribute to service line development, and help expand access to highquality mental health services within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical coverage for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
  • Deliver psychiatric emergency services coverage in collaboration with the care team.
  • Maintain an outpatient ambulatory clinic, offering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
  • Participate in call rotation; call coverage is 1:5.
  • Provide overnight call coverage on a 1:5 rotation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patientcentered care.
  • Support program development and expansion of advanced behavioral health treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience & Interests
We welcome candidates with experience or interest in developing and/or providing the following services:

  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
  • Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
  • IV Ketamine therapy
  • Substance use disorder treatment and program development

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
  • Strong commitment to patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical excellence.
