Job description

Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City is a welcoming and supportive assisted living community in Ellicott City, Maryland, known for providing personalized care and a warm, home-like environment for our residents. The community offers a range of services tailored to individual needs, including assisted living and memory care, with professional staff who work together to ensure residents feel safe, respected, and engaged every day.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine safety checks and rounds on residents at scheduled intervals
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
    • Toileting and incontinence care
    • Dressing and grooming (as needed overnight)
    • Mobility assistance and repositioning
  • Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and emergency situations
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to supervisor
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and overnight observations
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment (light housekeeping, laundry, etc.)
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents who may be anxious or confused
  • Assist with early morning routines and prepare residents for day shift staff

Qualifications
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred (assisted living, home care, or nursing home)
  • CNA/GNA certification preferred but not always required
