Total Air Service is looking for a full-time Lead HVAC Technician to lead our growing service department in Willis, TX, conveniently located near Conroe, Montgomery, Huntsville, and The Woodlands. THE TYPE OF LEAD HVAC TECHNICIAN WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Trade school graduate and EPA certification
  • 5+ years of residential and mid to heavy commercial HVAC experience
  • Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
  • Understanding of the current regulations within the field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the role
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift and move 75+ lbs
  • ladder work and tight space work required from time to time
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to wear PPE
  • Ability to handle high-priority calls & clients

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE OUR LEAD HVAC TECHNICIAN

This is a full-time position serving customers exclusively throughout Montgomery and Walker Counties, with participation in an after-hours on-call rotation of approximately one week per month.

In this role, you'll perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and installations while serving as the department's primary technical resource. You'll conduct ride-alongs, provide coaching and training, lead one technical training class per month, train and coach technicians and plumbers on TAS standard operating procedures, perform quality control inspections, assist with hiring and technician development, act as backup technical support for technicians, support dispatch and office staff with technical questions, help resolve customer concerns, perform monthly fleet and inventory inspections, monitor KPIs and department performance, and ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience.
