What is an outside services manager?

Outside Services Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing and coordinating services that occur outside of a main facility, such as golf courses, resorts, or other venues. Their duties often include supervising staff involved in activities like valet services, caddie programs, bag handling, and customer service for guests. They ensure smooth operations, high-quality guest experiences, and adherence to facility policies. Effective Outside Services Managers possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

An Outside Services Manager often works closely with departments such as maintenance, guest services, and event planning to coordinate seamless service delivery. They frequently communicate with team leads to schedule staff, address guest needs, and resolve logistical challenges as they arise. Being proactive and building strong interdepartmental relationships are key to ensuring efficient operations and a high-quality customer experience. This collaborative approach also helps anticipate issues and implement solutions quickly, which is vital in dynamic environments like resorts or golf clubs.
