Outside Sales - Construction Equipment

$2,000 Signing Bonus


Position Overview

Our Outside Sales Associates are key to carrying our reputation into the marketplace. With the extensive training we provide, our sales team helps us maintain our Silver Service standard of excellence.


Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver Silver Service to all customers with professionalism and consistency

  • Strategically plan and execute marketing efforts to build and support your customer base

  • Contact and engage customers to achieve maximum sales and profitability

  • Develop, implement, and manage a marketing plan for assigned accounts

  • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations, including necessary follow-up to secure business

  • Grow and maintain a robust customer database, updated monthly

  • Maintain an accurate list of machinery owned by customers on your call list

  • Submit a monthly summary of account activity

  • Provide financial counseling and marketing assistance to customers, upon request, to support sales

  • Ensure customers are invoiced promptly and payments are received in a timely manner

  • Prospect for new business through cold calling and add qualified leads to the database

  • Manage and control expenses related to sales transactions


Non-Essential Duties
  • Support the Sales Manager with various administrative and sales-related tasks

  • Perform data entry and general office duties

  • Keep your workspace clean and organized


Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Reach to answer phones and use computer equipment

  • Walk and move across uneven terrain, including construction sites

  • Read and manage paperwork and electronic records

  • Communicate effectively in person, via phone, and by radio

  • Bend, stretch, or kneel to handle files or inspect equipment

  • Climb in and out of large construction equipment as needed

  • Stand for extended periods when necessary


Education & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education

  • A valid driver's license and insurable driving record
