Position Summary
The Field Outreach Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a small team of Field Outreach Representatives, ensuring daily outreach activities are executed effectively and performance goals are met. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the field team and Program Manager, providing real-time support, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring team accountability.
The Team Lead is responsible for monitoring field performance, coaching representatives, evaluating territory viability, and communicating trends, challenges, and opportunities to leadership. This individual remains actively involved in outreach efforts while ensuring the team consistently produces quality referrals and community engagement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Directly supervise and support a team of 3-8 Field Outreach Representatives.
  • Conduct daily check-ins and field coaching sessions to ensure outreach goals are understood and achieved.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, professionalism, and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance improvement support.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new outreach representatives.
  • Ensure all team members are meeting daily activity and performance expectations.
Field Operations Oversight
  • Ensure representatives are actively conducting outreach activities, attending events, and engaging referral sources.
  • Verify outreach activities are accurately documented in CRM and reporting systems.
  • Monitor referral quality and outreach effectiveness across assigned territories.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and remove barriers impacting field performance.
  • Provide real-time decision-making and problem-solving support while representatives are in the field.
Program Communication & Escalation
  • Serve as the liaison between the field team and Program Manager.
  • Communicate staffing concerns, operational challenges, market feedback, and performance trends.
  • Escalate urgent issues, compliance concerns, or partnership challenges when necessary.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and resource allocation.
Territory Analysis & Market Evaluation
  • Assess outreach locations and territories to determine viability and potential for referral generation.
  • Evaluate event performance, community engagement levels, and referral conversion trends.
  • Identify high-performing and underperforming territories.
  • Recommend expansion, reduction, or reassignment of outreach efforts based on data and field observations.
  • Develop strategies to improve results in challenged markets.
KPI Tracking & Reporting
  • Collect and review daily outreach metrics from all team members.
  • Analyze team performance against established goals.
  • Prepare and submit end-of-day reports to the Program Manager.
  • Track and report on:

Community Engagement

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in community outreach, healthcare outreach, business development, field marketing, sales, customer engagement, or a related field.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coaching team members preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience tracking performance metrics and preparing reports.
  • Comfortable working both in the field and in a leadership capacity.
