What are outreach laboratory services?

Outreach laboratory services refer to laboratory testing and diagnostic services provided by a hospital or medical laboratory to external healthcare providers, clinics, or organizations outside of the main hospital setting. These services typically include specimen collection, transport, testing, and result reporting for patients who are not directly admitted to the hospital. Outreach laboratory programs help expand access to high-quality lab diagnostics in the community, improve patient care, and can generate additional revenue for the laboratory. These skills ensure efficient, accurate laboratory services and strong client relationships in a fast-paced outreach environment.

What qualifications do I need to work in a lab?
