Job Description:

The Director of Outpatient Services (DOP) reports to the CEO and is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of outpatient programming, expansion and staff at Cedar Springs Hospital, to include PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The DOP should be a dynamic leader that has the ability to effectively manage the clinical, operational, and financial success of a large behavioral health outpatient program. The DOP should have the ability to assist Cedar Springs Hospital in improving access to behavioral health services through new program development and expansion.  The Director of Outpatient Services will manage the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, business development, clinical programming and financial management of all outpatient programs at Cedar Springs Hospital.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the financial operations of all outpatient programs to include FTE management and cost control.
  2. Leads both internal and external business development efforts to grow program volume.
  3. Monitors Performance Improvement indicators and develops operational plans to address negative variances.
  4. Ensures high quality of clinical care is maintained in all outpatient programs and exceeds regulatory agency quality environments.
  5. Maintains and facilitates relationships with all shareholders for outpatient programs to include therapists, physicians, nurses, and referral sources.
  6. Maintains and exceeds compliance with all regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
  7. Responsible for all staff assignments and schedules.
  8. Attends and participates in all necessary executive meetings.
  9. Advocates for patients by processing any grievances generated by patients, their guardians, or families.
  10. Ensures that all hospital Policies and Procedures are followed and kept up to date.
  11. Provides or arranges the provision of necessary clinical education for all staff members.
  12. Manages the day-to-day operations of PHP and IOP.

Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Counseling, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or related experience.

Licensure: Licensure in one of the following : LPC, LCSW, or LMSW.  REQUIRED. Must be registered with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in the state of Colorado.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferentially with psychiatric population, and 2 years of supervisory experience.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires walking, standing sitting for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds and carries small objects from waist to chest.Must be able to type and use a computer.    Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach.    Must be able to speak, read and write.    Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
