Warehouse Operations & Process Management:

  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision.
  • Oversee all processes and procedures for inbound and outbound operations.
  • Ensure proper staffing for peak efficiency and task completion.
  • Manage the work performance of the inbound and outbound teams to meet productivity standards and KPI metrics.
  • Lead continuous initiatives to enhance customer service, accuracy, and productivity while reducing operating costs.
  • Address process opportunities, resolve issues, and implement standard resolutions.
  • Create and promote a safe working environment and a safety culture.
  • Implement new or improved work processes.
  • Manage staff to ensure job duties are performed correctly.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate projects among warehouse departments, sales, management, customers, and other branches.
  • Communicate with other branches and branch managers to identify support requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales and support staff to optimize customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating cooperatively with all stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Support the Branch Manager in overseeing overall operations.
  • Partner with management/leadership to align objectives, provide operational updates, and develop new procedures and strategies (if needed).
  • Build the leadership bench through development plans.
  • Deliver performance reviews and conduct check-ins with the leadership team.
  • Address performance-related incidents and recommend actions on disciplinary and personnel issues.
  • Train and develop team lead and associates to foster a culture of employee engagement.

Customer Service / Operational Excellence:

  • Resolve customer issues and maintain effective communication.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with the credit department for efficient customer handling.
  • Communicate issues and concerns that hinder branch effectiveness, escalating when necessary.

Inventory and Operations:

  • Evaluate quantity and locations of inventory for operational efficiency.
  • Verify accuracy of computer inventory through physical count.
  • Oversee maintenance of the building and equipment.
  • Analyze company reports, including ship editing reports and financial statements.
  • Drive efforts to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales budgets and metrics.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience with supervisory/management responsibilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a warehouse.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills include expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ideal Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field (preferred)

Ideal Work Experience and Skills

  • 7-10+ years' experience in distribution management. 
  • Experience supervising 20+ employees in a distribution/warehouse environment.
  • 5 years minimum tenure with PACE Supply Corp.
  • 2 years industry related supervisory experience.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
