Salary: This position pays up to $35/hr depending on experience
Description of Role:
SRI Telecom is seeking an OSP Construction Manager with relevant field project Management experience to contribute to all areas of expertise with various cross functional project teams. The successful candidate will oversee all activities from field design, permit verification, reporting, restoration and close out of the OSP project. The Construction Manager must be highly detailed, communicative, collaborative, task driven, comfortable working with the computer, self-motivated and comfortable speaking up on project calls.
Responsibilities:
  • The three main responsibilities of the construction manager are installation quality, site safety and daily production reporting.
  • Ability to review and understand OSP construction drawings and know specifications
  • Work with local municipalities for permitting, break fix and redlines to continue production
  • Permit verification and tracking
  • Interface with customers and general public for explanation and acceptance
  • Manage vendor scope of work (SOW), project change orders and materials procurement sufficient to meet contractual requirements.
  • Support finance metric development, reporting and dashboard reporting.
  • Lead process improvements that result in efficiency and efficacy gains throughout deployment and operations in the market.
  • Manage Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5+ years of OSP/FTTH experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite/ Google Suite
  • Familiar with OSP deployment methods (ex. traditional, ariel, underground)
  • Experience reviewing GIS systems and FTTH records/As-builts
  • Project/Program Management experience and Execution / Results
  • Experience in developing project schedules, cost engineering, and forecasting.
  • reporting project status
  • Demonstrated ability to employ good troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Project Management

  • Work Environment:
  • Working in the field from an SRI vehicle (MVR approval) in all weather conditions
  • Office visits maybe required as needed.
