Job description

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is seeking an experienced OSP Fiber Construction Coordinator to support fiber and broadband network construction projects based out of Manassas, VA. This role is responsible for coordinating aerial and underground outside plant (OSP) construction, including fiber optic and coax network builds across regional project areas.
You will manage multiple projects from planning through completion, working closely with contractors, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery.
Job Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
  • Coordinate OSP fiber and broadband construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Scope projects, develop work plans, and assign tasks to contractors
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Prepare and issue Notice to Proceed (NTP) documentation
  • Perform pre-construction and post-construction field walkouts
  • Oversee aerial and underground construction activities (boring, trenching, cable placement)
  • Verify as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve field construction issues in real time
  • Ensure compliance with right-of-way (ROW) safety and traffic control requirements
  • Coordinate utility locates and permitting requirements
  • Maintain clear communication with contractors, vendors, and clients
  • Support final project documentation and client invoicing
Job Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in OSP, telecom, or broadband construction coordination
  • Working knowledge of fiber optic and coaxial network systems
  • Experience with underground and/or aerial utility construction environments
  • Familiarity with utility locating laws and permitting processes
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Experience supporting multi-state or regional fiber deployments preferred
