Position Overview:
The primary function of the Radiologic Technologist, Orthopedics is to provide safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services for patients receiving care in the Granville Orthopedics Outpatient Clinic. The Radiologic Technologist, Orthopedics is responsible for producing accurate diagnostic images to support orthopedic providers in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service.
This position works independently within the outpatient clinic, prioritizes workflow efficiently, and maintains proficiency in orthopedic radiographic procedures while adhering to all radiation safety standards and departmental policies. The Radiologic Technologist, Orthopedics collaborates closely with orthopedic providers, clinical staff, and registration personnel to ensure timely patient flow and an outstanding patient experience. In the event that clinic support is not needed, this position will support hospital imaging needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations of orthopedic patients following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
Produces diagnostic-quality images with accurate documentation.
Collaborates closely with orthopedic providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
Reviews imaging orders for accuracy and verifies patient identity using established safety protocols.
Practices radiation safety principles and utilizes appropriate shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
Maintains patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout the imaging process while providing exceptional customer service.
Prepares imaging room, imaging equipment, and necessary supplies to ensure efficient patient flow.
Performs routine quality assurance procedures, equipment checks, and required documentation to maintain imaging quality and regulatory compliance.
Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment concerns to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Performs routine clerical and administrative responsibilities related to services within the orthopedic clinic.
Adheres to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Standards of Ethics and all applicable federal, state, organizational, and departmental policies.
Maintains competency in orthopedic imaging techniques and participates in ongoing education and training as required.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the operations of the Granville Orthopedics Outpatient Clinic.

Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA accredited, minimum two-year school of Radiologic Technology.
Preferred registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current CPR certification.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
At least 1 year of orthopedic x-ray experience.
