ASSISTANT ORGANIZER
JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Make Space Home Organizing is seeking a hard-working and organized individual
to join their team of professional organizers.
DETAILS
â—Ź Works Closely With: Lead Organizer, Owner
â—Ź Hours: 5-25 hours/week (hours not guaranteed)
â—Ź Status: Part-Time Employee Position
â—Ź Compensation: $20-25/hour (based on experience).
COMMON TASKS
â—Ź Sorting, moving, and storing items on site as directed by a Lead Organizer.
â—Ź Grouping client possessions for editing and purging, and organizing items into
systems.
â—Ź Maintaining a tidy and professional environment during organizing or move
management jobs.
â—Ź Assisting with managing organizing supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ON SITE
â—Ź Sort and tag items, creating logical groupings for client review.
â—Ź Occasionally work directly with clients to assist in editing or purging belongings.
â—Ź Dispose of trash, recycling, shredding, and donations appropriately.
â—Ź Use organizing materials to create systems for retained items.
â—Ź Collaborate with Lead Organizer to select containers and generate shopping lists.

â—Ź Label bins, boxes, containers, etc.
â—Ź Assemble small furniture items.
â—Ź Transport materials, supplies, donations, etc., as requested.
â—Ź Perform additional assignments as directed.
ADMINISTRATIVE
● Enter time into time tracking app when working.
â—Ź Maintain company scheduling program with availability.
â—Ź Review schedule daily for upcoming projects.
â—Ź Coordinate with Lead Organizer regarding pre-project assistance, project review,
and travel.
â—Ź Complete an inventory count at the end of each session.
REQUIREMENTS
â—Ź Understanding of basic organizing techniques.
â—Ź Ability to work closely with a team.
â—Ź Tech skills (smartphone, cloud-based systems).
â—Ź Ability to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs.
â—Ź Drive a car with space for donations and supplies.
â—Ź Excellent attention to detail.
â—Ź Strong communication skills.
â—Ź Positive attitude.
â—Ź Time management skills.
â—Ź Willingness to learn.
â—Ź Empathy and kindness towards clients.
SCHEDULE
â—Ź Part-time schedule.
â—Ź Availability to work 9am-3pm, Tuesday-Thursday.
â—Ź Hours are not guaranteed.
â—Ź May include some evening or weekend hours.
â—Ź Must attend scheduled Team Meetings and Training days.
