Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. About the Associate Organizational Development Specialist Position
The Associate Organizational Development Specialist supports initiatives that foster a high-performing, engaged workforce. In this role, you will help identify and address organizational challenges, develop strategies that improve employee satisfaction, and align development programs with company goals. You will combine analytical insight, collaboration, strategic planning, training, and change management to strengthen organizational effectiveness and readiness for future challenges.
This is an individual contributor position based in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role is non-shift, requires up to 10% travel, and reports to the Manager, Organizational & Talent Development.
What You Get to Do
- Execute programs that enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Administer organizational assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver training and development initiatives in collaboration with the Talent Development Program Manager and in alignment with strategic goals.
- Facilitate change management initiatives that support smooth organizational transitions.
- Analyze workforce data using Power BI and Smartsheet to provide insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with leadership on succession planning strategies.
- Execute organizational development strategies that support team priorities and business performance.
- Design and maintain dashboards and analytics tools that monitor talent development initiatives and provide actionable insights.
- Facilitate communications aligned with organizational priorities and program-specific employee engagement messaging.
- Provide planning, implementation, and reporting support for talent management processes.
- Conduct skills mapping and gap analyses with managers and stakeholders to inform training and hiring strategies.
- Partner with subject matter experts to identify skill volatility and develop workforce upskilling and reskilling strategies.
- Coordinate compliance training initiatives and maintain training records to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Administer employee engagement surveys, track responses, and support action planning.
- Support logistics, operations, and facilitation for training and development programs, events, and processes.
- Draft detailed reports for senior leaders that highlight trends, insights, and outcomes of organizational development initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, or will consider a combination of education and experience.
- Exposure to Human Resources, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.
- Experience with needs analysis, critical thinking, data mining, and data analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
Skills That Set You Apart
- Experience in the oil and gas, energy, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience supporting talent initiatives.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Smartsheet, survey tools, and Power BI.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
