Job Title Development Specialist II

Duration 6+ Months

Must have skill-set [Job Description] Job Summary

This individual will contribute to purification process development .He/She will be responsible for performing laboratory and pilot scale column chromatography, ultrafiltration, diafiltration and analytical assays to support protein purification process development. He/she will interact with analytical development and cell culture development groups in addition to purification group within BioProcess Development.ย 


Perform batch mode and column chromatography in support of purification process development.

Perform ultrafiltration and diafiltration in support of purification process development.ย 

Analyze, summarize and document data.ย 

Interact with analytical development and cell culture groups as well as development and engineering groups to ensure proper information exchange.ย 

BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, chemical engineering or related fields with 2-5 years relevant experience in protein purification and analytical assays. MS preferred.ย 


Skills:ย 

Experience and knowledge in protein purification process development, including ultrafiltration, diafiltration, ion-exchange, affinity, mixed mode and HIC column chromatography.ย 

Experience in protein analytical methods, including ELISA, HPLC, enzymatic assays, SDS-PAGE and Western Blot.ย 

Demonstrated capability of high quality work and keen attention to detail.ย 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.ย 


Leadership Capabilities (DNA):ย 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.ย 

Strong flexibility, self motivated, and ability to quickly adapt as priorities change.ย 

Ability to work as a team player to achieve departmental and company goals under timeline requirement.
