Position Overview

We are looking for a Director or Senior Director of Organizational Development to help shape how Flagship grows, evolves, and thrives. Reporting to the VP of Talent Development, you'll build the talent, leadership, and organizational capabilities that enable our science-driven enterprise to scale with purpose.

Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Management & Development
  • Design and evolve Flagship's talent management framework, including performance management, succession planning, career development, talent reviews, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and development supported by modern talent technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Build career pathways and talent mobility programs that strengthen employee growth, retention, and organizational capability.
Organizational Development & Change
  • Build scalable organizational development and change management frameworks, tools, and playbooks.
  • Partner with senior leaders to lead change initiatives, strengthen leadership capability, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies that support successful transformation.
Strategic Communications & Program Leadership
  • Partner with HR, Communications, and business leaders to deliver clear, engaging communications that support organizational initiatives.
  • Lead a portfolio of high-impact OD programs from strategy through implementation, using data and analytics to measure success and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Align stakeholders, priorities, budgets, and resources across multiple concurrent initiatives.
What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or a related HR discipline.
  • Proven success designing and scaling talent management programs, career development frameworks, and continuous feedback cultures.
  • Hands-on experience leading enterprise change management initiatives; Prosci, Kotter, or similar methodology is a plus.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience using modern talent management platforms (e.g., Workday, Lattice, Culture Amp, 15Five) and leveraging people analytics to drive decisions.
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, venture capital, or another innovation-driven environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels.
  • Strategic, hands-on leader who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building new capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or HR/change management certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in our Cambridge, MA office four days per week.

The salary range for this role is $172,000 - $280,500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidateโ€™s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
