Responsibilities

florrent is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing & Workforce Development Intern, with experience or interest working in a professional team setting supporting Marketing, Hiring, Business Development, and/or Operations functions, to help us build the talent pipeline to produce our next-generation supercapacitors. In this role, you will

  • Work with company leadership to inform workforce development & community engagement strategy

  • Create marketing materials (flyers, social posts, email content) to promote workshops and program opportunities

  • Drive outreach campaigns to partner organizations (community colleges, workforce boards, community groups) and coordinate joint programming and referrals

  • Help identify and recruit target students and young adults for workshops and info sessions

  • Provide operational support for follow-on activities — scheduling, attendance tracking, logistics, and post-event follow-up

  • Maintain outreach and partner contact records

  • Support commercial and business development marketing efforts where applicable

  • Create on-brand social content (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram): graphics, short videos, and copy

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a relevant program (business, communications, education, or similar) - not required, but a plus

  • Excellent and proactive communication skills

  • Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, GSlides/PP, and/or Figma/Canva)

  • Clear writing skills and attention to detail; comfort with version control and deadlines

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments

  • Interest in workforce development, clean energy, and/or community engagement

  • Massachusetts-based, or attending a Massachusetts university to qualify for the MassCEC Clean Energy Internship Program
