Job description

General Purpose of Position

Responsible for accepting, tracking and maintaining clothing donations. Sees to it that certain items are reclaimed and others disposed of.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains DL clothing room on a day-to day basis.
  • Organizes clothing donations and keeps clothing area neat and orderly.
  • Trains resident and volunteer workers as needed.
  • Sorts clothing for DL according to gender, style and color.
  • Makes sure adequate numbers of hangers are maintained in an orderly fashion.
  • Maintains order and flow of volunteer groups of various sizes and ages.
  • Assists in a variety of special assignments requested by the Executive Director.
