About the Position
The Wholesale Operations & Business Analytics Associate is responsible for working with the Manager of Nationals & Specialty along with others in the department, to assist with managing inventory, purchase orders, returns, credits, and account service requests across all National & Specialty Accounts.
The Associate is responsible for having extensive knowledge of company inventory, the shipment of product to all National & Specialty accounts, monitoring POs and communicating their impacts on the business, executing order maintenance functions that support the needs of the business and supporting the credit operations for the company. The Associate must be able to collaborate effectively and foster highly productive working interactions with colleagues in cross functional areas of the company. This position is critical to integrate a variety of functions at Lilly Pulitzer.
A day in the life...
  • The Associate should focus on the triangulation of sales, fulfillment, order management and margin to drive sales and gross profit

  • The Associate will need to have extensive knowledge of company inventory and product.

  • The Associate should work with the Manager of Nationals & Specialty to manage product shipments and orders to the appropriate distribution channels in a way that achieves sales targets and optimizes total company gross profit.

  • The Associate must also interact with the Fulfillment Center team on all shipping issues as necessary. This may include attending weekly shipping meetings, monitoring seasonal changes to the shipping priority system and transit days, and communicating any non-standard shipping requests related to events or marketing promotions.

  • The Associate must provide visibility into Total Company inventory on a weekly basis through reporting distributions.

  • Perform order maintenance functions for all National & Specialty accounts. This may include re-allocation of units due to shortages, transit day and lead time changes, and reorder entry.

  • Serve as the liaison to communicate all operational and merchandise information to distribution teams. This includes, but is not limited to, shipping schedules, fast tracks and any changes to seasonal merchandise offering, inventory information, and reorder opportunities that achieve total company gross profit and full price sell through.

  • Own the setup of new National & Specialty accounts upon receipt of a completed credit application and signed terms agreement. This includes entering all pertinent information in the required fields.

  • Own the set up of new term codes as needed for non-standard selling terms as approved on the Non-Standard Terms Document.

  • Apply credits to National & Specialty accounts' open balances. This includes revenue share credits and corporate gift card redemption credits.

  • Use Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to upload orders, process POs timely (30 days prior to start ship date), review POs against bulk orders thoroughly for non-standard variances and communicate changes to appropriate parties, and ensure all variances are reconciled before releasing the POs to be shipped.

  • Wholesale Reporting

  • Analyze and roll up monthly and seasonal bookings performance for Nationals & Specialty accounts

  • Prepare and report OTB for upcoming market and track results

  • Monitor performance against sales plans and key performance indicators for National & Specialty accounts

  • Relay important style opportunities to key partners

  • In Market Support

  • Support in-market and pre-market initiatives as it relates to tracking of special orders and requests from Nationals

  • Play a large role in planning market for National & Specialty accounts

  • Note, associates may be asked to perform duties that are outside the specific functions that are listed

Qualifications for the Position
  • A four-year college degree is preferred

  • 1- 3 years of experience in Wholesale Operations, Inventory Management, Order Operations, or similar apparel industry roles.

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are necessary.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes

  • Systems-oriented mindset is preferred

  • This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime. This position is eligible for standard company benefits.

  • This position is required to maintain a structured hybrid work schedule based out of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. This hybrid schedule, which includes work done in the King of Prussia Office as well as your Home Office will be determined by your supervisor.

  • The position requires some domestic travel to Retail stores.

  • Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods.
